FOR EXAMPLE MY FAVOURITES: although there are others that I listen to in private & publicly in this blog of mine!

rather a mystery to be lived.”

Mystery has its own mysteries,
and there are gods above gods.
We have ours, they have theirs.
That is what’s known as infinity.

Taz sings

And while I’m taking this stroll down memory lane…

At my Secondary school for girls, there was a singing competition, whilst others done pop songs, we done the below advert.

It was performed in harmonised female vocals without microphones and no musical instruments, our voices were the only pitches that were used. I provided the pace, as a backing singer would do, as I had a mid-range singing voice.

We, as in me and three others in the group came second. And yes, the ‘plop’ sound effect at the end was included.

And that was the only time I’ve sung in front of an audience publicly at such a tender age. In addition, before anything is assumed contrary-wise, this event happened in my last year of secondary school, that was in 1982, which took the place of the Morning Assembly: when first thing after the Register of Attendance was taken, all students and teachers gathered in the main Hall of the School.

[Aside comment: at this point, I shall side-step a lighting bolt swiftly and continue me talking…]

That was, instead of beginning the day with religious worship and singing a religious hymn, such as, ‘All things bright and beautiful’, (another one of my favourites by the way), on this particular day of Morning Assembly, we had this singing competition, so only students and teachers (judges of the competition) were present….details, details, details.

However, if I had gone to a mixed gendered comprehensive school, I’d have enlisted a few boys to sing the below advert too:
