PHOTOGRAPHY

My other hobby is outdoor photography, that is taking pictures of landscapes and architecture mostly in towns, using a ‘Minolta Dynax 40’ 35mm slide camera.

And I always get a thrill out of seeing what I saw with my eye there on my projector screen.

Just nothing like it.

And as its been asked. Why I am looking in silent mirth in this photo?

Well, the answer is, the person who was taking the picture was getting in a right pickle. Not because of their technical ability to handle the camera but because everytime she focused on my face, I was either coming out completely yellow or completely orange, and not what my actual skin tone is in reality, that is two-toned in complexion. However, they said they weren’t going to stop taking images until they’d got the metering right, no matter how long it took them, and that they’d never had a problem before until now, muttering for God’s help under her breath, such oaths of allegiance would have done him proud. So, this picture above as well as in the side bar on the right, is their last and final straw of taking it to their satisfaction and they still weren’t happy about it!! Before they declared defeat.

As that meant it was worth clicking that button for more than one exposure shot, or burning the whole roll of slide film to get a scene after the hours of patience in waiting to capture it.

For there’s the amazing fact: that no two people catch the same identical photo even if they were standing side by side.
