My Online ‘Look Book’:

A ‘Look Book’ is photographs or images collected together in a book, sometimes on a given subject or along the lines of a theme, and perhaps with written notes as to why you chose this picture for your ‘Look Book’ (as seen below exemplar) and develop the reading of a makeup style. For Look-Books act as a reference source of inspiration, as examples that one can return to whenever the need arises.

As a ‘Look-Book’ also represents a presentation of a sample of what makeup styles can be achieved, and therefore provide the visual detail of one’s concept, such as in this case: Modern Glamour. For example, images of makeup styles for eye-glasses wearers who wish to emulate the Modern Glamour look, as seen in the below photographs:

PICTURE NUMBER ONE: The Amazonian Female Makeup. I liked the bronzed look, and the radiant finish to her face, in addition the simplicity of the eyes from the feathered eyelashes that rise to meet her glasses frame from above, as does the immediate outside of the eye-glasses echo this upward movement, that then bows down slightly at the centre eye bridge too. This makeup technique is also repeated to her lips in their form and the choice of lipstick colour.  Its a makeup look that all works well in balance with her glasses frames of the same tone: fortified by the Gods.

PICTURE NUMBER TWO: The Soft-focus Glam Makeup, for there is the makeup technique of using a highlight to the centre of her eyes, which the highlighter is matched at the bottom of her lip area. Its all about high definition in this makeup look. And the choice of makeup colours is then complimenting and matching the delicacy of the eye-glasses. Thus all is calm, relaxing, and very luxurious.

PICTURE NUMBER THREE: The Avant-garde Glamoour Makeup. It was noticed the use strong bold colours for the whole look to the face that echoed the glasses decoration: soft yet vivid with jewels on the glasses handles, that correspond to their eye-pupils liken to that of gemstones, and the top and bottom frame of the glasses matching also their eyebrow lines and colour. A very crafted look.

PICTURE NUMBER FOUR: The Dewy Makeup look. I liked the dewy makeup look application to her face, which continued for her lips, and along with the plum/rosewood colours used for her eyes, with the string of beads on the top of the eye glasses frames picks up on the dew of early morning to be found settled on the ground.

PICTURE NUMBER FIVE: The Feminine Makeup look. I liked the theme of this, that is pink with hints of grey shades, which incorporated a gentleness too. As matched from the rimless bottom of the frame for the woman’s-touch of light-heartedness, and the handles of the eyeglasses denoting her inner strength of character and warmth.

PICTURE NUMBER SIX: A very Neutral Glam look, which everything is focused on the top lashes only of her eyes with heavy duty mascara for a voluminous effect, with her lipstick and blusher doing most of the effective work for an attractive result. She means business.  Thus leaving the eye-glasses for that statement piece.

PICTURE NUMBER SEVEN: A Sultry Makeup look for the eyes for an evening. A light placement of highlights on her lips, as well as her eye lids, and directly below in the middle of her waterline, that matches the diamante stones of her glasses.

PICTURE NUMBER EIGHT: The Fresh Makeup look. Given the use of eyeliner pencil on the bottom lash line to enclose the eyes in such a bright shade to match her eye colour too, so she seems wide awake. All done for drawing the focus direct into her eyes, with the border of diamante stones on the front of glasses acting as the barrier for a framed look.

PICTURE NUMBER NINE: The Highbrow Glamour Makeup. The use of wide strip of cat eyeliner makeup technique, making it all very sleek, modern and scientific, as in the look of precision as in her gaze, which incorporated her high-brow glasses of geometric patterns, very logical and concise.

PICTURE NUMBER TEN: The Exotic Makeup look. All is hinted at but nothing given away, that her eyebrows meet the glasses at the beginning then fall away, same with the eye shadow that stops at the crease, then there’s the blanked out gap on the side handles of her glasses frame that lends to this mystery, along with the over-emphasised full red lips that has a sheer gloss to them.

PICTURE NUMBER ELEVEN: The Retro Sex-Kitten Makeup look. As eveything comes to a point, like fangs on cat.  For even at the bottom lower lash line, an eyeliner pencil in the inner corner of her eyes goes down to a pointed tip too, that matches the eye-glasses inner nose grips which also comes to a point, that then the makeup incorporates her cupids bow point of her top lips, thus mimicking that of a feline look.

PICTURE NUMBER TWELVE: The Siren Look of Makeup with glasses. Her groomed eye-brow matches her defined lips, of a call to attention. Now look into my eyes she’s saying, as the use of false eyelashes then captivates and entrances you, as she flutters them through the lenses. That all works in harmony with her eyeglasses frame handles, for then it lends to the mystery of danger ahead. So you noticed me, yes.

PICTURE NUMBER THIRTEEN: The Knock-Yourself-Out Look of makeup. As its very playfully been achieved to tease, in that the tortoise-shell glasses aren’t the main focus, its all been given to her lips and eye-pupils, a very up-front natural look of peach and taupe colour for the technique.

PICTURE NUMBER FOURTEEN: The Flirtatious Makeup look. For the eye makeup is kept completely in one shade, with a strong highlight colour to the bottom lash line, and the top of her cheeks, that echos the frame handles of her glasses; being spacious and roomy to accommodate any spontanity, for she can change this look for a smokey effect for a evening look at the drop of a blending brush.

PICTURE NUMBER FIFTEEN: The Alternative Makeup look. For this isn’t a conventional eye makeup technique, particular with the bottom lash line eyeliner wing look that stops dead, that echos the outer square of the eye-glass handles, and the same goes for the inner corner of her eye shadow liner, that is squared off just the same to match the inner nose grip and bridge of the glasses. Very rebellious but yet edgy.

PICTURE NUMBER SIXTEEN: The Look That Innocence Brings Makeup. For the eyeshadow is that of a flushed makeup look, that lends itself to the cheeks giving the impression of tainted purity, as she’s just been given a tint of blush, as also the lipstick which has the just been kissed look to it. For the eye-glasses are used as a prop, for the setting of a mood along with the eyeliner denoting the emotions.

PICTURE NUMBER SEVENTEEN: The Socialite Makeup look. For everything is looking polished and finished. For the eye makeup along with the eye glasses makes the emphasis of being defined and complete with pastels, without the use of any contrasting primary colours that would compete with the accomplished look of being expensive, for noted is the red and burgundy eye-glass frames, liken to a rich red wine or a Christian Louboutin shoe.

PICTURE NUMBER EIGHTEEN: The Classic Glam Makeup look. Everything has been perfected down to a distilled fine art for a glamourous sculpted style. As I love the use of cut-cease definition which hasn’t been done to harshly, and the use of the extended outwards false eyeslashes for the eye area. For the whole face makeup has been outlined to give the eye-glasses a structured foundation, due to its constructionist architectural frames.

PICTURE NUMBER NINETEEN: The Sophisticated Makeup look. For there is a twist of complexity to the eye makeup and glasses. For the eyeshadows may echo the grey colour of the eye-frames, but they aren’t so squared at the inner corner, so ending any thought of neatness. Same with her hair, it may be pulled back off her face in a tidy pony-tail, but there are waves of twists layered and laying there, same with the eyeshadows used, yet its all openly expressed hence the sophistication of her eye glasses.

PICTURE NUMBER TWENTY: The Female Geek Makeup look. For the eyeshadow and lips are so peachy-keen to please yet takes itself so so seriously, as in the eyeshadow colour and the depth added to the crease area of the eyes. And this corresponds with the eye glass frames with the use of the tawny colour and the steel binary digits of the glasses handles combined together.

PICTURE NUMBER TWENTY-ONE: The Sexy Makeup look. Because everything looks tousled, soft and half-undone. And corresponding to this, is from the two tone eye glasses frames, that start off one colour at the top and ends up another colour at the bottom, thus the eye makeup is intense at the top and a touch dramatic at the bottom, same with her lips which is outlined more at the top and diffused on her bottom lip.  Hence all seems effortless and tasteful yet wanting.
